Dockside Briefings - Pre-Charter Orientations

At Modern Sailing, we understand that choosing the perfect boat for your charter can sometimes be challenging, especially if you're accustomed to a particular vessel and you haven't tried others with configurations that may be unfamiliar to you.

That's why we're here to help you expand your sailing horizons and explore new options with confidence.

We're excited to introduce our new complimentary offering: the "Dockside Briefing!" You can receive a Dockside Briefing for the following boats:

*All first time charters aboard the Premier Tier Beneteaus must start with a mandatory dockside briefing. Please allot 15-minutes the morning of your first Premier Tier charter (schedule 10am or later).

What is a Dockside Briefing?

This personalized session takes place right at the dock where one of our knowledgeable team members will meet you. They'll provide a comprehensive introduction and walk-through of your chosen boat, highlighting its unique features and important aspects you should know for your journey.

Whether it's understanding the layout, operating specific equipment, or mastering any quirks, our goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and prepared to sail smoothly.

I've taken two classes at MSS&C and was very happy with the program. This is also a great club with lots of opportunities for camaraderie and practice on the water. The boats in the fleet are fantastic and kept in tip-top shape. I highly recommend for all sailors and would-be sailors!

The office staff was very accommodating in meeting my availability.

I would like to compliment Stan Lander for his coaching, counseling and teaching Heavy Weather Offshore Sailing. Stan was very accommodating to all of the student's interests and shared his many years of insight on handling the boat in heavy seas. I would certainly recommend Stan and this course to sheltered waters sailors. My confidence in handling a boat of this size was certainly enhanced by the experience.

Here are some snaps of Our Saturday, August 20, 2022 Modern Sailing Expedition with Captain Robert Bivin, who was outstanding. Please convey photos and thanks to him. He is an outstanding individual, leader and sailing instructor. His knowledge and experience made us all feel safe and our Farallones Day Trip educational and just amazing.

The vessel was clean and in fine condition - very nice boat for training, well-equipped.
