Tahitian Flotilla - Sunsail 444's

This revolutionary new catamaran uniquely balances comfort, space and a sailing performance unrivalled by most catamarans. The most noticeable feature of the 444 is her covered forward cockpit which is accessible from the main saloon giving even more space for socializing and relaxing, as well creating cooling breezes into the interior.

Sailing the 444 is unlike sailing a normal catamaran, with deep narrow groove hulls and shallow draft the 444 is able to sail as close to wind as many a monohull. Not only is she good sailing up wind, but she is also steady downwind with limited roll, ensuring the mai tai's stay firmly on the table.

Her 360 degree helm station gives complete control from one place, all electronic navigation aids are as standard, along with plenty of additional features including air-conditioning!

All of the courses and my instructors (JT and Stan) were extremely professional and full of knowledge and experience. I found I was able to learn from their experiences beyond the scope of the courses, and look forward to future opportunities to do so. I would highly recommend Modern Sailing to anyone.

I took ASA 101 with them recently. They have the best customer service I've ever seen! I mistyped my address when I signed up online so didn't receive the textbook. I called and the lady immediately sent me another copy! Everyone at the club is super friendly.

It has been wonderful sailing with MSC over the years. Please extend my thanks to the owners, management, and staff for unrequited professionalism and high standards in a charter fleet. I have sailed with several in my years and none nearly hold a candle to the quality of business and staff at Modern Sailing.

Captain Jeff Cathers is really cool. I had such a great time on the Farallones Day Trip. It was actually my very best day of 2020. Thank you so much for coordinating the trip.

We just took our ASA 106 at a school in Rhode Island as we prepare for 6 months of cruising in the Caribbean. The class was great, but more than anything it made us really appreciate the quality of teaching and rigor at Modern Sailing. Even though we were the newest to sailing, the group seemed to think that we had the best fundamentals. We felt very well prepared and we see why Modern Sailing has the reputation it does.
