Were you trained on our J/24s in Berkeley? Interested in upgrading to charter our Catalina 30s? The Upgrade to Silver Fleet Clinic will teach you the ins and outs of driving and sailing a wheel-steered boat with inboard diesel propulsion. This 2-day clinic has a heavy focus on gaining confidence with docking and departures and a short sailing segment each day. Participants will be evaluated for eligibility to charter our Silver Fleet boats at the end of Day 2.

Sportboat Fleet Rated + 2 on-the-water days, 1 of which must be as the Skipper/Charterer on record.

We just took our ASA 106 at a school in Rhode Island as we prepare for 6 months of cruising in the Caribbean. The class was great, but more than anything it made us really appreciate the quality of teaching and rigor at Modern Sailing. I've taken two classes at MSS&C and was very happy with the program. This is also a great club with lots of opportunities for camaraderie and practice on the water. The boats in the fleet are fantastic and kept in tip-top shape. I highly recommend for all sailors and would-be sailors!

The meeting room was quite adequate and the location most convenient, but the course outline and instruction were outstanding. Modern Sailing is fortunate to have such a well organized instructor in Mr. Stan Lander who teaches very well from a rich professional background. Mr. Lander was generous with his time and patiently in helping students who needed more attention or time in understanding various aspects of the curriculum.
