All Berkeley-based student and member accounts have been imported into Mindbody, Modern Sailing's reservation and customer account management system. RecHub is now decommissioned. Within your Mindbody Online Store & Scheduler (customer portal), you are now able to view schedules of Courses, Clinics, Club Sails, Races, and Expeditions, sign up online, reserve boats, buy gift cards, edit your account information, and much more!
When you're ready to get started exploring your Mindbody customer portal, this article serves as your guide.
How To Begin Using the Modern Sailing Mindbody Online Store & Scheduler
1) Start by looking for the orange "Member Login" button at the top-right corner of every page on our website.
As part of the migration from RecHub to Mindbody, your Modern Sailing online account has been created for you. When you go to log in for the first time, you will first need to establish your account password. Click the "Need a new password?" link, which is shown circled in green in the screenshot below.
NOTE: Do not attempt to log in with Facebook. This will create a new/duplicate account in Mindbody that will not contain your preexisting customer information. If you're a member, a new/duplicate account will not have access to your member-only features and benefits.
2) On the next page, you will see a prompt to enter your email address, as shown in the screenshot below. Please enter the same email address that we had on file for you in RecHub, where you received your electronic receipt(s) and/or enrollment confirmation(s).
After typing in your email address, click the blue Next button on the right side of the page.
3) The next screen that appears will prompt you to type in your first and last name. After doing so, click the blue Next button to proceed. You'll then see a message stating that a link to reset your password has been emailed to you.
4) Go to your email account, open the password reset email that you received, and follow the instructions provided within. (If you do not see the password reset email within 10 minutes, check your Junk or Spam folder.) From there, the steps to log in will be simple and self-explanatory.
An Introduction to Your Mindbody Online Store & Scheduler
After logging into your online account, you will see a row of "tabs" at the top of your screen.
Here is an outline of all the options available to you under each tab.
BOOK A BOAT Tab
Are you Fleet Rated for bareboat charterering? The "BOOK A BOAT" tab is where you'll make and manage your reservations. (See How to Book a Boat Online.)
SAILING COURSES Tab
View schedules, enroll, and purchase ASA Courses 101, 103, 101/103 Combo, 104, 105, 106, 105/106 Combo, 107, 114, and 118. (Prerequisites must be met before enrollment is permitted. Call or email the office if you encounter a prerequisite error.)
On the Sailing Courses tab as well as the Clinics, Club Sails & Races, and MSC Expeditions tab, a drop-down list allows you to filter your view to show offerings for all locations, Berkeley, or Sausalito.
CLINICS Tab
View schedules, enroll, and purchase specialty Sailing Clinics available at our Sausalito and Berkeley locations, such as:

- Sausalito and Berkeley Orientation Sails
- Development Sails (Sportboat / Spinnaker / Silver Fleet)
- Upgrade Clinics (Sportboat / Silver Fleet)

Some clinics are seasonal while others are offered year-round. If you are unable find one of these clinics on our schedule, this means that there are none currently scheduled.
MSC EXPEDITIONS Tab
Enroll to join and purchase a local or regional expedition such as a Farallones Day Trip, Half Moon Bay Expedition, or Drakes Bay Expedition.
CLUB SAILS & RACES Tab
Click on this tab to browse the schedule of Club Sails and Races and sign up online. By means of a drop-down, you can
- Club Sails are available to members only. Members may sign up 2 non-member guests. (See How To Purchase Online for Another Person.)
- Completion of the Recreational Race Clinic is required before signing up for races.
ONLINE STORE Tab
This is another path to locating and purchasing anything that Modern Sailing makes available for purchase online, including Club Membership and discounted Special Packages such as the Silver Skipper, Captain's Special, et cetera.
Please note that purchasing a Course, Clinic, or Special from the Online Store does not enroll you in the course. You can go to our Schedule and enroll in the course(s) of your choosing after purchase.

- Profile
- Modify your email subscription and notification preferences
- Change your online account email address and/or password
- Edit your address, phone number, or credit card information
- Add friend and/or family member relationships to your profile - My Schedule

Online Account Limitations
- Email Address as Username - If you attempt to create an account with a different email address than the one we have on record for you, you will create a duplicate account that will lack access to member features.
- Cancellations & Refunds - Please contact our office to request cancellations and refunds.
