Modern Sailing School & Club, Coast Guard Lisensing Program, Instructor Stan Lander
Get your Coast Guard Captain's License!
Courses taught San Francisco Bay

Save yourself months of preparation time
by letting Modern Sailing School & Club lead
you through the Coast Guard licensing
process. We are an approved training facility, which means we can administer the licensing exam, saving you the headache and red tape of
dealing with a regional exam center.

Instructor, Captain Stan Lander - This course is taught by Retired Lt. Commander Stan Lander. During his Coast Guard career, Stan was assigned to ships and duty stations in some of the world's most highly traveled cruising areas, including the Chesapeake Bay, Puerto Rico, and Miami, Florida. While serving on the USCG Cutters Morganthau and Northland, he engaged in both rescue and maritime law enforcement actions in the Gulf of Alaska, Bering Sea, Eastern Pacific, NW Atlantic, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico.
